Many great companies have started out of garages, Nashville's Imogene+Willie chose to stay there. Husband and wife team Carrie and Matt Eddmenson began making jeans in 2004 with design consulting work for some of the heavy hitters in the denim industry but in 2008 decided to strike out on their own.
For the better part of a decade they've been making and selling men's and women's jeans out of a renovated gas station on the outskirts of Nashville. And keeping in line with the brand’s strong theme of family, all of the fits are named after Matt and Carrie’s family members or close friends.
