The 1947 501 Rigid is a straight fit jean made from an unsanforized 12 oz. selvedge denim from Cone Mills. Based off the 501 model in 1947, the denim is heavier than previous years and shrinks one size with an initial wash/soak. The fit is a high rise waist that is straight through the leg. The 1947 501 Rigid features a one sided 'Big E' red tab, copper rivets, hidden back pocket rivets, double stitch back arcuates with diamond, leather patch, and zinc buttons.

Levi’s is, without question, the 800-pound gorilla in the denim world. Their name is almost synonymous with the word jeans. For nearly the past 150 years, they’ve been clothing America’s blue-collars with high quality workwear. As such, their reproduction line, Levi’s Vintage Clothing, takes that history seriously when resurrecting items from the Levi’s archive for modern-day manufacturing.
