Samurai Jeans S5000KA Kakishibu Dyed is one of those wild pairs of denim that command a double take. Hand-dyed with Kakishibu, a fermented dyestuff from the juice of unripe persimmons, the loomstate denim is 24oz. pre-soak and gains an additional 3oz to become 27oz. post-soak/wash. Dark steel tack buttons and black bar tack and buttonhole are present on the S5000KA to accent the slight hints of dark brown and black found in the fabric. The leather patch and rivets are emblazoned with Samurais signature detailing.

Samurai Jeans is a brand steeped in rich Japanese history. As the name of the brand suggests, the founder Toru Noogami‘s mission is to have the “spirit of the Japanese sword embedded in the jeans.” Holding true to Noogami’s mission, Samurai, like many other denim brands, refuses to follow pop culture.
Instead, they choose to stay true to their heritage by following decades of Japanese tradition such as the use of vintage shuttle looms and employing historical work ethics, as well as building products with durability, not trend, in mind.
