The denim is a true labor of love as its dipped by hand 24 times to achieve the deep indigo blue. The SD-103XX is finished with lemon yellow top stitching subtle orange threads, and a dual selvedge line.

Studio D'Artisan was one of the earliest Japanese denim brands and they began their career making reproduction Levi's in the early 80s. A lawsuit quickly put a stop to that, and SDA took its place as one of the premier heritage denim labels in Japan.
But their penchant for the past doesn't mean they're slaves to reproduction as they've released dozens of playful one off models including their famous "Christmas Denim" they've redesigned and reissued for over thirty years.
